I agree that this whole performance is special. A bit on the mellow side, but very enjoyable. I really should listen to it more often. And I'm not familiar with the 10/29 show at all...blasphemy I say!

To me, 10/29 is just a wonderful example of the band being super-focused and really listening to each other. Lots of dynamic interplay and going from jazzy to raunchy to spacey to frolicsome. The Eyes > China Doll is stunning. And how often do you say, "fantastic Mexicali" or "what a great Tennessee Jed"?!? Also, check out the way Truckin goes off into jazz land with (as I recall) Phil and Bill leading the tour. Great moments for honky-tonk Keith, too. A good night was being had by all.

Btw Curtis Hixon is probably my favorite WRS, but "probably" gives a lot of wiggle room :-)

Thanks. I didn't know I was on a WRS kick, but I guess I am!

It's easy for that to happen! I got a bunch of recs a while ago when I posted about being on a WRS kick :-) I think I listened to them all, and they're really super. Here's the thread:

This song is too emotional - I don't think I can go on a WRS jag at work ...
